Mid 2006
I am a 33 year old mom of 3: an eclectically homeschooled 8 year-old and 14 month old boy-girl twins (after 5 years of secondary infertility due to PCOS). I live in a major east coast city while dreaming of living in the middle of nowhere. I am an animal lover currently housing 2 dogs, a bird, a fish, and two cats– one of which is my beloved 15 yr old Matthew, whom I’ve been with since he was 6 weeks old. (My son’s middle name is after that cat, and my twins were born on his birthday.) I have been recovering from drug/alcohol addiction since 1991.  I enjoy knitting, dyeing, cooking, reading, movies, and the occasional TV show.
Random things:
- I am extremely proud of the fact that my oldest & my twins have been exclusively breastfed. I hope/intend to continue into their third year.
- I am in the process of converting to Judaism.
- I believe in Health At Every Size, that we should stop judging people on their appearance, and that dieting is bad for you.
- I believe my husband is the smartest, coolest guy EVER.
- I consider myself a feminist.
- In my heart of hearts, I believe p*rn is harmful to women. At the very least I think the online sites should allow people to avoid it if they choose. WTF? Did they think that I was searching for “womens hairstyles” but I actually meant to search for them?
- When I have the brain cells available to think about politics, I am proudly liberal.
- My basement is full of plastic recycling that my city doesn’t pick up. But I can’t throw it out. I also compost, to my mother-in-law’s horror.

Who’s who:
Big Kid : my 8 yr old son.  He’s a very happy, bouncy kid who’s recently caught the reading bug and is whipping through Lemony Snicket faster than a speeding train.

Baby Girl : my 1 yr old daughter.  She’s very smart and although she was undemanding when she was itty-bitty, these days she lets you know very quickly if she’s not pleased with something.  As for when she’s happy . . . she’ll let you guess.  I can’t wait ’til she’s talking and I can get an idea of what’s going on in there!

Baby Boy : my 1 yr old son.  When he was itty-bitty, he was pretty fussy and if he wasn’t fussing, you could be sure he was in someone’s arms, with his cheek on their breast.  I never would’ve guessed it, but he’s turned into a real happy-go-lucky 1 yr old.

Spouse : An actor turned computer-geek with a great wit.   . . .
and other stuff as I think of it . . .
